A trailer in Barrow County was destroyed by fire Monday, according to officials with Barrow County Emergency Services.
“Upon arrival, we found heavy smoke showing and fire venting from the roof in one corner of the home,” said Battalion Chief Mike Stoops. “We made an aggressive fire attack from inside the home and found heavy fire conditions in a bedroom and bathroom of the home.”
A search revealed no one was home at the time of the fire.
“The firefighters were able to quickly bring the fire under control,” said department spokesman Lt. Scott Dakin.
Dakin said the home suffered heavy smoke damage throughout and approximately 50 percent of the home suffered fire damage.
Two adults and two children were displaced by the fire. The American Red Cross assisted the people living in the home.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Fire Investigation Team.
