The Clarke-Oconee Genealogical Society and Oconee County Library will present “How to Prepare to Locate Your Ancestors in the 1940 Census” at the Oconee County Library at 2 p.m. Feb. 25.

Shane Bell, archivist for the National Archives Southeast Region, will discuss the April 2 online release of the 1940 Census. The program will focus on tips for finding ancestors in the 1940 Census records, which will not yet be indexed when the census is released.
