The Night of Blue Lights, an event to benefit the families of fallen peace officers, will be held from 4-9 p.m. March 10 at Oconee Veterans Park on Hog Mountain Road, Watkinsville.

“We’ve already got double the cars coming that we had last year,” said Lee Dyer, who proposed and organized the event last year with assistance from deputies in the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office. Dozens of police cars will gather for the event and after nightfall all the blue lights will be turned on at once. For information contact Lee Dyer at (706) 338-0331.
