Oconee Regional Humane Society issues call for Volunteer board members

The Oconee Regional Humane Society is seeking residents to serve on its board of directors.

ORHS is dedicated to improving the lives of animals in the community and finding loving and permanent homes for cats and dogs in its care. ORHS rescues animals scheduled for euthanasia from local animal control facilities and from other homeless situations and provides a safe haven for animals in transition through its foster care program.

Each member of the board of directors serves a three-year term, is expected to attend a monthly meeting in the Greensboro area and actively participate in at least one committee during each year. Attendance at local events is also strongly encouraged. All members serve on a voluntary basis.

Board nomination forms are available at the ORHS office, located at 1020 Park Ave., Suite 101, Greensboro, GA 30642, (706) 454-1508, or by visiting the ORHS website at www.orhspets.org. Completed board nomination forms must be received by Oct. 30. Mail completed nomination forms to: Margie Wallace, 174 Waters Edge Drive, Eatonton, GA 31024, or send completed forms via email to: orhspets@gmail.com.
