Three arrested on meth charges in Jackson County

Three people were arrested in Jefferson on methamphetamine charges after Jackson County sheriff’s deputies raided a home in a search for illegal drugs.

The investigation began recently after officers received a tip that drug activity was taking place at the home of Donna Marie Woods, 40, according to the sheriff’s office.

When deputies searched the home they found meth and pills. Wood was charged with possession of meth, along with possession of codeine, amphetamine, Alprazolam, hydrocodone and Lortab and having these drugs within 1,000 feet of a school.

Two other people who were visiting the home at the time officers arrived were also arrested.

Mark Anthony Campbell, 49, and Wanda Ann Campbell, 42, both of Jefferson, were charged with possession of meth.

All three remained in the Jackson County Jail on Friday.
